Ninan Park Grandstand Demolition - old sign

Posted by
Philip (South Wales, United Kingdom) on 29 October 2009 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

Prior to demolishing the roof, the cladding that was attached to the grandstand when it was extended in the 1973 was removed. This uncovered the old Cardiff City AFC signage which had been up since the 40s.

This picture shows the old signage after the roof had been removed.

That's really sad, especially when it comes to the model houses they are going to build there.

I very much like your composition, the colour of the text balances well with the sky, and that diagonal cloud works so well. Nice one!

I saw.. or felt.. immediately .. 4 sad horses.. as if from a chess set..
but it seemed they looked to the horizon.. or to the sea..
A wonderful eye you have..
