View of the main building from the beach. I posted the front of this building a few days ago.

@MrsAmber: Thanks. It is a well photographed pier. It has many interesting parts and being so well maintained by the council is a joy to photograph.

Does the pier still go outinto the sea,or is that shot coming.

@Anthony Morgan Lambert: It certainly does. I have previously posted some images covering the rest of the pier: http://bluebirds.aminus3.com/portfolio/78.html http://bluebirds.aminus3.com/portfolio/79.html http://bluebirds.aminus3.com/portfolio/31.html As you can well imagine it is a popular place to take photos. Flickr has loads of photos of the pier in the 'penarth' group.

lovely colourful building and good scene of the beach :)

@kate: Thanks. This pier is photographed so much that you struggle to find an angle that brings something interesting. I thought the beach and a few people would be of interest.

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

This has a beauty of it's own the paintwork is quite exquisite in it's colour scheme.

@Curly: I've been to this pier countless times. It does have a charm, probably because it is well maintained and tranquil (although not on a sunny weekend when it is very busy!). I am not sure why the pier buildings are painted in the colours it is but they have been that colour since I've going there. The pier is on Penarth front and there is lovely walk along the short front up a hill along the coast for about 30mins. There are a few cafes and small scale restaurants on the front but nothing tacky.

Ted from South Wales, United Kingdom
