A welcome cup of tea and a welshcake for my brother-in-law after we walked back from Traeth Mawr. He insisted on having his welshcake buttered much to the consternation of the cafe staff.

He wears a mighty fine hat.

We often forget that "everyday life" is the best picture of all! Good shot!

@Cruz: I know. I am guilty as well. I spend ages taking landscspe shots but do not normally take shots such as these. However, I must admit it does have character.

A cup of tea and a Welshcake, the cure for all ills in Wales that is.I don´t mind the butter on the Welshcake as long as you don´t sprinkle sugar on the top of the cakes after baking !!!

25 Jun 2010 10:20am

@Anthony Morgan Lambert: I know sugar on top is very 'old school'. My mum always used to put sugar on top. She always used to say that you put butter on top of welsh cakes when they start to get a bit stale. That is not a problem in our house as we eat them fresh off the griddle!!!

Beautiful light an colors here, I really like that the woman behind the counter has the best smile.

25 Jun 2010 11:07am

@Phil David Alexander Morris: They are very friendly. They are all in their 60s/70s and run the car park and refreshment place from March through to october 7 days a week!!!! I think they live in one of the Nash Point Light Houses but I am not sure. Everything is run on a shoestring but they seem to enjoy their life.

Thami from Fès, Morocco

Un portrait souriant et décontract ! L'image est bien composée puisque plusieurs lignes guident le regard vers le visage !

Good evening, Philip,
very nice. First business, then pleasure. Coffee and cake was indulged him. The hat dresses, your brother in law, very good. The lady in the kiosk, in the background, seems to have fun. She smiles, very friendly. The general view is very atmospheric. The color reproduction is excellent. Have a nice evening and all the best. Christel Sincerely
