Heron at Kenfig Pool

Obviously no fish around as he did not stay long!

Excellent shot of an evil looking bird. Looking forward to hearing Mr Elliotts take on this ,I agree it doesn't look like our grey heron.

Ah well, it seems that is your ordinary Heron, but, it seems strange that it's darker than the "Normal" ones, and the leg colour is wrong, but maybe that's as a result of standing in Rotten water). My font of all knowledge (Mike, Catchlight) is my guide here and what he says goes!

@CElliottUK: Thanks for the update. He looked a bit 'rough' to be honest. He was the only bird on the lake at the time. Not sure about the leg colour but remember I was using a 70-300 lens at its max of 300mm so perhaps this had an impact.
